5Echo!Jul 30, 2001

When I owned this game I had so much fun playing it all the time! I loved making Echo swim and jump and dive! I was able to win it when I was about 7 years old, it really isn't that hard! Hint: a code to get you to any level is abcbcacab

Help! There's alien coming to Earth! Who can save us?? Why, of course, a super-powered freindly dolphin! Go through the ocean, solve puzzles, and defeat the evil alien! If this guy had opposable thumbs, he'd be betta than Einstein!

this game is fun. like The Ecco games i've played their hard to beat. the graphics are ok for sega. story line is good. (how often do you have some alien thats takes your family?)there are alot of levels. you even get to go to atlantis, were you try to find a time machine and go back in time to get this glob for some creacher, who gives you a special power that is really helpful. (i'll leave you to find that out your self) over-all the game is good.

4The First... And Only Dolphin Game TitleMay 23, 2005

Ecco The Dolphin is great. I mean this is like the only dolphin game that you could get. There are other titles of Ecco though. I found that this is one of the only Sega games that has survived throughout the years. A hint that it is great.

Now the graphics for such an old game such as this is fantastic. It's not that great, but still they're pretty darn good. The dolphins look pretty much alike though, so you don't feel like the oddball out.

The sonar map that you get is useful sometimes, but most of the time it is too inaccurate. In some areas it says that there is an empty space, but when I get there it's the sea floor. This really needs to be improved.

The music throughout the game is great at first, but it's the same music throughout the game. It does not capture the feel of some levels. Some pest that visits my house a lot said that it was gothic. It's very fun to listen to if you want some calm, serene music. And you can turn the volume up and annoy people with it if you want.

The air meter dwindles at a frightening speed. So I have to come up every thirty seconds or so maybe. I drown a lot because of how fast it goes down. That means you have to jump out of the water a lot. Thankfully you can swim frightfully fast.

The difficulty is maddening! I die the very second I touch a stinkin' alien. I think you have this sort of ability to fly and your sonar becomes damaging. That's very useful when it comes to the matter of aliens, 'cause you can't charge them.

It's very difficult for me to control Ecco because sometimes you just have to press where you want to go and other times you have to go in a circle to get there. He sometimes won't go where you want to. This I found very annoying.

All in all I say that you get some passwords and hook the win with them. It will take you a very long time even with passwords to beat it. I'd say overall it's worth four stars.
