Here's the lowdown by titleApr 06, 2010
By critters Essentially, there are several kinds of games--hidden object games (HOGs); match 3 games (M3), where you swap objects to make matches; adventure games, where there's a story to be solved (like Nancy Drew, for instance); time management (TM) games (like the food service games); and puzzle games. Where I've left the info blank in the list, beyond the title, I haven't played it yet, but I'll edit my thoughts and star ratings in when I'm done; this is a mammoth undertaking. LOL Also, some of the titles are known slightly differently depending on where you look for the names or files (like leaving off "The," or characters' names), but you'll typically find something similar to go by.
PS: TMs are my least favorite, but I try them. Also, some of the games and demos download together with "Venus" and aren't listed individually on the disc. ----------------------------------------------
Curse of Montezuma--a bit of HOG (finding the pieces) and a lot of puzzle (figuring out what to do with the found stuff). Story is a little weak; not my favorite. ***
Mystery Encyclopedia: First Story--a bit of HOG (finding the pieces) and a lot of puzzle (figuring out what to do with the found stuff).
Mystery Encyclopedia: Moonlight
Natalie Brooks: Secrets of Treasure House--puzzle. ***
Natalie Brooks: Treasure of the Lost Kingdom--HOG/puzz. OK, but I'm wary of putting real, if dead, people and situations into a game.
Sprill and the Mystery of the Bermuda Triangle--First of the 2. HOG with occasional Rube Goldberg-type puzzle (like the ones in "MCF: Ravenhearst," which may be skipped if you wish. Good hint system. Story a bit weird. Sadly, it quit working at a point maybe 1/4 or 1/2 of the way in. ****
Treasure Masters--OK. Underwater HOG. Nothing special. ***
Treasures of Montezuma
Farm Frenzy III (Pizza Party)--DEMO ONLY. Pretty typical TM game, but at least it doesn't start as hard as some. ***
Moxxie's Tabloid--DEMO ONLY. Similar to the others, but annoying beyond my tolerance. Too cartoony, in my opinion, and Moxxie's voice makes me want to scream. Mostly puzzle. **
Superior Save--DEMO ONLY. HOG/puzzle. ****
Youda Legend: Curse of Amsterdam--DEMO ONLY. HOG/puzz. Unusually nice-looking game, and clever. Great story and good hints. *****
Insider Tales: The Stolen Venus--HOG. Not a fair game; ie, it asks for "mask," or "bulb," and, while 2 of each are pictured only one is clickable. Hints overly small. To top it off, the game is corrupt and quit working quickly. Story has possibilities, but only 1 star due to problems. *
Annabel--DEMO ONLY. HOG/puzzler/adventure. Pretty. Story a little strange but good. One of the few to have voice-over in addition to captions. ****
Call of Atlantis--DEMO ONLY. Easily the best game on the disc, a fascinating combo of the game genres. I'm now trying to get the full version of this one. *****
Alabama Smith in Escape from Pompeii--OK, but I'm wary of putting real, if dead, people and situations into a game.

What a blast. Nice to have a combo set that you can play on your computer. Have played 5 of the games so far and have really enjoyed them all. Great game for gems blasting and hidden objects lovers.

Lot's for your moneyFeb 07, 2011
By C. Hoff Lot's of games to go thru and I've only played 1 1/2 of them so far. The two games I've played do not have any characters speaking so you must read the subtitles. My 7 year old grandaughter is enjoying it and can play the games by herself. Good amount of hidden object games for the money.

While I have not downloaded and/or played all of the games on this CD, the four I have are great. The games CD is in great shape. No marks or dings on it. The cover is showing wear, but it is really in good condition. I have always enjoyed dealing with the people who sell on Amazon and this was no exception. Fast service, product is as listed, packaging is proper for the item. I like buying from Amazon sellers because I know that Amazon is behind them.
