5Great Mix of FavoritesJan 01, 2000

I rarely find a CD that I can listen to again and again without getting tired.. but here's one! It has got so many songs that talk about dreams, loneliness.. the sort that makes you just want to grab a hot cup of tea and relax with. Some of my favorites are "Dreams" by The Cranberries, O'Connor's "I Guess The Lord Must Be In New York City", and "Anyone At All" performed by Carole King. I've always loved Nilsson's "Remember"; the all time classic favorite "Over The Rainbow". A very great collection. Darin's "Splish Splash" has an upbeat to it that fits right in.

5Movie In My MindJan 06, 2000

If you are looking for a CD to simply put on and relax to, this is it. It is filled with a colourful array of songs to tickle all parts of your heart.

For those who have seen this movie as many times as I have, you will treasure having this as part of your CD collection. Everytime I hear "Dreams" by the Cranberries, I instantly hear Kathleen Kelly's monologue over the top about what she feels when she receives her email from NY152.

A must hve.

5One of the BEST Soundtracks Out There....Apr 30, 2004
By K. A. Stevenson "WIAPilot"
I know that there are a lot of people, who rush right out there, and buy virtually every movie soundtrack, but I'm not one of them. And yes, "You've Got Mail" IS one of my favorite movies of all time. But recently, while watching it for the upteenth time, I realized that ONE of the reasons that I enjoyed it so much was BECAUSE of the music.

This soundtrack is THE BEST! It has such an ecclectric range of music. There are a lot of 50's tune and even one with Louis Armstrong! My FAVORITE is, "The Puppy Song." However, it also features songs by Harry Nilsson, The Cranberries, Jimmy Durante, Carole King, Roy Orbison, Stevie Wonder and more.

It has been YEARS since I first saw the movie and I have just gotten around to getting the soundtrack. After listening to it, I keep asking - "What took me so long???!"

Also - this CD features the soundtrack that has all the cute words to the songs featured in the movie. It is NOT the soundtrack that simply has the "background music."

5I LOVE IT!Jun 26, 2001
By V. VanCamp "lovesbookslovesmusic"
Great collection of songs by terrific artists. "Dummy Song" (Louis Armstrong) is very funny; "The Puppy Song" (Harry Nilsson) is cute; "Rockin' Robin" (Bobby Day) and "Splish Splash" (Bobby Darin) are fun; "Dream" (Roy Orbison) and "I Guess the Lord Must Be in NYC" (Sinead O'Connor) are sweet and "Lonely at the Top" is sad. This soundtrack offers you a huge range of emotions... just like the movie does. I love to listen to this album. It recalls for me all the happy and friendly feelings I have when I watch the movie. In one word: DELIGHTFUL!

5MarvellousMar 10, 2000

If you are a true romantic then this is the cd for you. I've seen the film now 15 times,(have it on dvd and video) and mainly because I love the music in it. The Puppy Song that opens the film is inspiring and gives you a 'good' feel about the movie to follow. A well deserved 5 stars
